About the Team and why they should be chosen for the Palm Paparrazi at the US Championships:

"It's not the quarry, but the chase. Not the trophy, but the race"

Why should you vote for us? Frankly, because we're exceptionally skilled in taking camera shots of city chasers! To prove it, we'd like to share our City Chase experience through our pictures.

Chase Point Challenge #1: At our very fist challenge we got our butts into shape by the boot camp instructor and by the look on our faces you can tell we were worried what the rest of the day would lead to!

Chase Point Challenge #2: We raced across town to the San Diego Naval Base and learned that neither of us possessed upper-body strength.

Chase Point Challenge #3: Next stop was the bowling alley, but it wasn't your average game. If you didn't bowl a strike or a spare you had to remove an article of clothing. Marissa tried to put her sweater back on before we began, but the referee wouldn't allow it. Lucky for us, we bowled a strike and a spare on the first try!

Chase Point Challenge #4: The San Diego Community College Kaplan Center tested our mental strength. Lucky for us, Katie's a high school teacher! She learned how to cheat from her students; if you don't know the answer text a friend, if that doesn't work, choose C!

Chase Point Challenge #5: Along the way, we solved a list of riddles and puzzles with no problem! Which literary author does not belong? What number comes next in the following pattern? Ha! Did we mention Katie is a teacher?

Chase Point Challenge #6: Halfway through the chase we played roulette, but instead of losing money we risked losing our appetites. Unluckily, we rolled the worst and Katie gagged, Marissa puked. (No photo available, you don't want to see that!)

Chase Point Challenge #7: To cheer our moods, we headed to a more familiar destination, the downtown shopping center. Katie expertly navigated her way through the stores, quickly texting the answers. We finished in record time!

Chase Point Challenge #8: We showcased our skills at balancing and basketball. She shoots, she scores!

Chase Point Challenge #9: Almost done, we sped to the park where Katie learned the art of tightrope walking. She had a Carrie Bradshaw moment.

Chase Point Challenge #10: Last stop, home of our favorite San Diego Padres. Outside Petco Park we imagined what it would feel like to be tall, and then came crashing down to reality at 5'5".

Finally, we made it to the finish line! Next challenge…. make it to nationals. The chase is on!

About the Race:

City Chase San Diego promises to introduce you to new areas and locations and to teach you new things about yourself and your teammate that you never knew. You'll chase through the streets of historic neighborhoods, run through places like Balboa Park, over urban terrain, up and down hills and possibly even travel in or on water - all just to get to where you need to go to complete the real challenges. You'll participate in a fun-filled day of laughter, adventure and discovery as you push your comfort zones in physical, mental and humorous challenges. Join in the fun
The City Chase is an urban adventure that requires participants to exhibit teamwork, resourcefulness, determination and the ability to make decisions on the fly as they search for ChasePoint challenges scattered in unknown locations throughout the city. To conquer this urban event, two-person teams will run, walk and use public transit to navigate their way throughout the city, while calling family and friends for help, accessing the Internet and even employing assistance of total strangers. There is limited space in each city so register today!
